The guest experience does not end when the artist finishes painting. A wet, mislabelled or badly packed product can undo the quality of the entire interaction.
Packaging and handover need their own workflow.
Identify the Item Before Painting
Use:
- guest name;
- token;
- order number;
- appointment slot;
- table number.
Attach the identifier to the tray or product in a way that does not damage the artwork.
Create a Quality Check
Before packaging, check:
- correct name;
- correct motif;
- no obvious smudge;
- product condition;
- sufficient drying;
- packaging compatibility.
For multi-artist activations, one handover lead can keep the standard consistent.
Use Packaging Tested With the Finish
Fresh artwork may stick to:
- tissue;
- plastic;
- foam;
- fabric;
- box lining.
Test the final packaging system before the event.
Sometimes the safest handover is an open presentation box with a note to leave the item untouched for a stated period based on the selected material system.
Keep Packaging Branded but Practical
Useful elements can include:
- guest name;
- care card;
- artist card;
- campaign sleeve;
- protective insert.
Avoid packaging that presses against the painted surface simply because it looks premium.
Separate Packaging Stock From Blank Product Stock
The activation should have enough:
- boxes;
- bags;
- tissue;
- labels;
- care cards;
- spare packaging.
A missing box should not stop the artist line.
Plan Handover for VIPs
VIP products may require:
- named tray;
- host delivery;
- hotel-room delivery;
- client-services desk;
- courier after the event.
The handover route should be agreed with the client.
Manage Uncollected Gifts
At closing, record:
- guest identifier;
- product;
- status;
- responsible client contact.
Agree who takes custody.
Maintain a Clear Chain of Custody for Valuable Gifts
High-value guest products should move through named stages and never sit in an uncontrolled open-table system.
A simple chain can be: client stock issue, order label, artist station, drying tray, quality check, packaging and named handover. Record any item transferred to a host, concierge or client-services team instead of the guest directly. This is particularly useful for leather goods, fragrance, jewellery-adjacent gifting and other products where a missing or swapped item would create a much bigger problem than a delayed giveaway.
Handover Standard by Product Value
| Product type | Handover control |
|---|---|
| low-value giveaway | numbered tray or simple token |
| apparel / footwear | guest name + size/model check |
| premium fragrance / leather | named tray + QC + controlled packaging |
| guest-owned item | documented receipt and return |
| VIP / client gift | named custody chain and host/client-services handover |
The more valuable or personally owned the product, the less acceptable an open “pick yours up from the table” system becomes.
Design the Final Guest Moment
Share the product, paint system, packaging, guest volume and collection process. Impact Murals can make the handover stage part of the activation plan instead of an afterthought.
